My Daughter's New Project

Today, my daughter had her last quilting class for the tic-tac-toe quilt. I'm so proud of her hard work! This is the finished project with the exception of the markers (we'll be finishing those at home tonight!). She worked for 6 hours total on this- her very first quilting project. It's for playing tic-tac-toe and rolls up with ric rac ties! Adorable!

Finally Defrosting!

This is what my backyard has looked like for the past few weeks! It's a balmy 47 degress today, and the snow is melting quickly! I love the snow, but the -3 degree mornings were getting a bit cold and old!

I'm So Excited!

I'm so excited to finally have an official blog! Many thanks to Sam- twolittlewitches and Jen- barefoot*divas! I would be lost without the technical skills of Jen! I just love the fabulous art work of Sam!

I think I was most excited to make my playlist! How fun to have my own little soundtrack! My first selection was Pachabel's Canon in D. I actually managed to play this piece in a piano recital in November. Yes, at my age, I was in a piano recital! This was the first ever recital that I made it through entirely! In high school, I would get such stage fright that I never finished a song! I owe my current piano teacher (the nicest lady you'll ever meet) many thanks. She is the BEST piano teacher ever, in my opinion, and so very kind. She sat by me the entire song, and yes, for the first time ever, I played Pachabel's Canon start to finish!

I hope to have more exciting news as the days go on, however the recital was quite a victory for me!
