SandCastles!

Can you tell that I really enjoyed the Sea and Sand theme? I grew up on the gulf coast of South Texas, so yes, I've been to the beach quite a bit. So, this is a theme that is near and dear to me.

Love the Vida!

I finally attempted the Euro Vida dress! LOVE IT!!! What a fabulous dress! I just love the front and back panel options. I view it as a canvas for creativity! I designed this one as an underwater view.

Summer Project! A Dollhouse!

When my daughter was 4, I built her a dollhouse. This is a picture of it. She has "rediscovered" it in the past few months and has stated that it "needs a neighbor." If anyone has made a dollhouse, then you understand the time that goes into the construction, decoration, etc. This dollhouse took me 3 months to complete. My daughter is now 8 and has said that she would love to help make a new dollhouse. Sooooo, yesterday, we headed to the hobby store and bought a new dollhouse to begin together. She didn't just want the small cottage, we're creating a very large farmhouse! I imagine it will take the entire summer to complete, but I am so thrilled to be able to do this with my daughter! How fun! We start tomorrow!

I plan to add pictures as we go through the various stages. We're going to assemble it in the unfinished basement, so the background of the pictures won't be the prettiest setting, but that's ok! I think the part she is going to enjoy the most is when it is time to go furniture shopping! I know I had a blast doing that with this dollhouse. That's the only time you can furnish an entire room for less than $50! I think the most difficult part will be picking a color for the new house. She's thinking purple, and let's just say, I'm not! So, off to the paint store in Monday morning! I'm sure we'll find a color we both love!
